Legend-of-Korra Announcements

Hello fans of the sequel to the greatest animated show to ever come from Paramount Entertainment,

After December 28th 2014, our little fan club has had a bit of a dead phase. It's been almost two years since a blog has been written and I've seen the comments that many of you have thought we were dead. Let me tell you that we are NOT DEAD and we will not die anytime soon. We have some new content on the way for all you passionate fans and things are going to be a little different around our little group. Starting today, Friday, we will have a weekly newsletter on Korra events, Korra facts, Korra news, and a collectors catch. To make sure that only Korra related works get into the folders, we will be regulating what artwork gets accepted and what artwork does not. We will also be regulating the behavior and actions of our members to ensure that the group is a safe place for everyone who is involved. So before we get to the fun, let's go over the rules.

Legend-of-Korra member conduct code:

Offenses and violations-

Submitting hate art
Spamming the comments and journals
Trolling other users and staff
Any form of cyberbullying
Threatening a member or staff
Sexting with other members or staff
Pestering the staff with notes
Submitting stolen work
Submitting work by Mike and Bryan
Cheating in a contest
Making a personal attack
Submitting work to the wrong folders on purpose
Using hateful language
Any form of racism, sexism, homophobia, and religious/belief intolerance
Vendetta against staff if you have been removed from the group(this will result in deviantart staff getting involved)
Blocking a staff member for no reason(we are nice people)
Submitting NSFW art without a mature filter
Lewd and or inappropriate actions and language

Break a rule once, you will receive a warning letter from a staff member. Break a rule twice and we will put you on a one month probation. Break a rule three times and you will be banned from the group. You can write an appeal to staff members and if your apology is sincere, we will allow you to return to the group. Break a rule after an apology and reinstitution and you will be preeminently banned from the group and an appeal will not work.

I hope you all understand what the rules mean because we want members and staff to feel as safe as possible in our community. We want you to feel happy and comfortable and that can only happen if you all work hard at following the rules.

If a staff member has blocked you for private reasons, do not try to contact us through our group notes as that results in removal(you can write an appeal if it's the first time). If a staff member has blocked you for whatever reason that is outside the group, you are permitted to remain in the group and do all the same things you would normally do, but do not contact a staff member who has blocked you. If you have personal drama to work out with a staff member, do so privately for the sake of our community.

Always remember to submit to the correct folder. Artists who submit to the wrong folder will be declined and directed by a staff member to the correct folder. The featured folder is OPEN again so you artists with extra talent, do submit your finest work there.

If you feel the need to leave the group or take a break, please do so privately and do not let us know you are going on a hiatus, that just create unwanted drama.

If you have concerns or questions about the group, feel free to politely send us a note, we are very friendly and we want to hear if something is not quite right with the group. We are hear to listen to you and hope you come to enjoy us as well. If you have a personal issue with a specific staff member, send us a note through our individual profiles please.

We are the largest Korra themed group on the deviantart site so we have a lot of things to keep track of, but through all that craziness, we will try to make your experience as personal and interactive as possible.

In the news:

Coming to comic shops and collectables stores, you can purchase the new Legend of Korra figurine set from Zwyer Industries. Figurines and information about them can be found on the Zwyer website which we will link for you here-www.zwyerind.com . These figurines were featured at the exclusive New York City Toy Fair 2016 and are as charming as ever. You can purchase a regular sized or chibi figurine. Figurines are rather expensive so I tell you, if you have the cash, go for it. Figurines and other forms of merchandise will be used as prizes for large scale contests in the future. Future watch:
Are you a Korrasami shipper? If so, coming this October is the perfect comic book for you. Written by creator Michael DiMartino and illustrated by Brittany Williams, the new KOrra comics will be distributed by Dark Horse comics and pick up exactly where the finale left off. Korra and Asami's relationship will be deeply explored and we will get to see how the second official LGBT couple in american animation(Steven Universe beat us too it) grow and bond as companions. Are you a cosplayer? Live in the California area? If you do, two big events are coming up this summer for California and out of town fans of all shapes and sizes. on July first through July forth, fans can attend Los Angels's very own ever popular Anime Expo at the Los Angeles convention center. This con is a big one so tickets do sell rather fast, get them while you can. Attend the event as your favorite Korra character and join the annual Korra/Avatar meet up and get to know other Korra cosplayers and even make a new friend or two. On July 21st through July 24th, fans can attend the international SDCC at the San Diego convention center where fans can meet up, cosplay, take photo ops, and meet the creators and staff who worked on Korra. Tickets for this event are sold out so if you are attending, have all the fun in the world.  If you want to attend the event next year, get those tickets early. Thank you so much for 6 years of hard work and group participation. Our little place we call home is back and active once again. We want you to enjoy yourselves as much as possible and connect with one another in the most influential fandom in animation history. You all mean so much to me and I cannot wait to get started on all the new activities and adventures we will have together.
