Legend of Korra is Moveing to Nicktoons!Starting October 9th, the Legend of Korra will begin airing new episodes exclusively on Nick Toons, starting with episode six, “The Sting”. Even more surprisingly, another new episode, “Beginnings Part 1,” is scheduled to air the very next day. This might even be troubling news for the show, which as, we reported a week ago, is in a ratings slump. This sudden move might be a result of that, though there is no confirmation from Nickelodeon.
We also don’t know if Nick will continue airing new episodes past October 10th (no one has any episode listings for the sho past October 10th), or if they will continue to run new episodes until the show goes on hiatus (as it has done in the past with it’s predecessor, Avatar: The Last Airbender). We’ll update you with any more information on this developing story.
UPDATE 9/29* Zap2it.com and Comcast both list new episodes of The Legend of Korra for Nick Toons at that exact date (October 9th and 10th). TV Gui

What! Whats Avatar Day you say?Avatar Day was established back in July 2007. It's a day for all of the Avatar the last airbender fans can come together and enjoy this phenomenal show and look foreword to what comes next. And with the legend of korra season 1 over, we can now enjoy a whole new chapter of the Avatar universe.
Starting this Monday, July 9th, Nicktoons will be showing a special called Korra: Making of a Legend. This special, which will air every weeknight at 9pm (until July 20th), will include reruns of all 12 episodes from the first season of The Legend of Korra in a "creators' cut" format, with commentary from Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, offering "insight into the creation of the stunning imagery, mythology and storyline" of the series. And we will be uploading videos from YouTube day by day for people who do not have Nicktoons.
With San Diego Comic Con just a few days away, there is going to be a bunch of New Avatar and Korra things going on at that time. For one, The legend of Korra
Aang was the last Avatar Airbender to be bornI have been thinking about this question lot. The next Airbender Avatar will have to be related to Aang. There’s no way he/she can’t be, right. But then a again, you have to see it as I do. There is going to be a lot of time before there will be a Airbending Avatar. It maybe 300 years or more before that happens. There are three more Avatars to go thru. You need a water, earth and then a fire Avatars. And they my lived 80, 90 years for each one. By then there will be different family’s of Airbenders out there. And before you guys say "They are going to related to Aang! That's whats going to happen, don't over think it!"
Take this into thought.
Aang can spirit bend. He can take away a benders bending if he needs too. So, don't you think that Aang may have attempted to make an non-bender into a bender. In the episode "The Northern Air Temple", Aang said to Teo "the young paraplegic boy" that he has the spirit of a Airbender. And in Korra, on Air Temple Isl
Legend of Korra Book 2 NewsThe Dark Spirit seen here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_c3YX_NGlo0&feature=g-all-u, is Voiced by Azula "Grey Delisle" in Book 2 Spirit. Maybe it is Azula’s spirit come back to kill the Avatar?
I Hate April Fools DayNot because I’ve ever “been the fool” in a April 1st Prank or anything, but more or less because I have to endure the MONTHS upon MONTHS of people who unironically believe whatever bullshit joke a company decided to make on the internet that day.
Some companies do the joke well, like YouTube when they announced the complete YouTube DVD collection, or when they turned all the videos into old timey black and white film strips.
But others, more commonly associated with the entertainment media, usually just create a fake new story that unfortunately spreads like wild-fire. I STILL see people unironically blaming Nintendo for never releasing Wind Waker with updated Twilight Princess models and textures.... based on an april fools joke made in 2005!
And part of the ire I have about this day comes from how VOLATILE and quick to HATE on everything is on the internet. Nobody actually stops and thinks before they post anything, so jokes like this usually just end up devolving i
BRAVE was... ok.Saw Brave the other night. I had deliberately kept all info about this movie away from me so that I could go in with a fresh viewpoint. There might be spoilers here, so if you haven't seen the movie tread carefully through this journal. To be honest, I don't really want to talk about the movie all that much, but more or less the public perception of this movie.
Brave was quite good, but I have a feeling it's not gonna have the impact so many people were expecting it to. Prior to the release, the fact that this was a PIXAR princess story with a female lead was SUCH a huge deal to some people. I think there were some lofty expectations that this was going to trump Disney princess stories and show women as strong capable role models without resorting to typical cliches and what not...
I'm not sure if that's what PIXAR was going for, in fact, the biggest complaint being lobbied against Brave is that it's both "too safe" and "too conventionally Disney." Brave is a good movie, but it does fo

3D Movies aren't as crisp as they use to beThis is a realization I had after getting the chance to watch some old school Pixar films in HD recently. While the story of Toy Story holds up well, the actual graphics and presentation look downright archaic in HD. Sometimes characters appear to “float” on the ground, while other times their feet intersect into the floor. Bump mapping textures are grossly pixelated. And I could literally see the wireframe corners of Buzz Lightyear’s mouth clipping into itself.
That being said, one of the positive things I noticed was when I was watching A Bugs Life. The movie just POPPED with so much clarity and crispness. It was so beautiful to look at in HD. And then it hit me... the reason 3D movies don’t look this good, is because they’re not crisp anymore.
See, as technology got better, we learned how to round the edges of characters better. Objects that are square are still slightly rounded on the corners to make them more believable. And we learned to add in rack
Fiction. How redundant is it pointing out these following statements?
There's no such thing as a gigantic mechanical robot fighting off alien monsters. There has never been a report of a man being bitten by a radioactive spider and becoming a hero. You can't summon a mini-tornado at your own beck-n-call, don't matter how much into the occult you are. The odds of a young male teenager having a harem of sexy girls at his every turn is nil. There aren't bipeds of animals that are supposed to be quadrupeds flying spaceships in the galaxy above us. You can't legally hunt and catch thousands of different animals and use them to protect you from other animals and people in a sports-like venue. You can't eat a flower and ignite fire from your hands.
I can go on and on... this journal is probably being expressed because of recent built-up distaste for people bullying others because of what they like when it comes to fiction.
Just to reestablish what it even means, here it is, straight
Too SoonIn one of my recent comics I casually mentioned the shooting at The Dark Knight Rises premiere in Colorado. The comic wasn't about the shooting, nor was it making light of the shooting. However, some people weren't able to see past that and felt it was offensive and in poor taste.
I am really sorry that my comic offended anyone. It was never meant to trivialize the deaths of the victims of that event, nor was it trying to make fun of them. I was never suggesting or inferring that you should ignore the tragic event, nor trying to be dismissive of the event. I wasn't saying you shouldn't feel empathy, or even sadness over the event. And I especially wasn't trying to paint myself as being uncaring towards the victims.
If you'd like to help the victims through this terrible event, please check out this http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/07/20/aurora-theater-colorado-shooting_n_1690093.html?utm_hp_ref=impact here. You can help by donating to The Colorado American Red Cross chapters, donate
Ideals vs CharactersI am always amazed at what ends up being “controversial” in my artwork. While with some works I KNOW it’s going to be controversial (such as any time I bring up politics or religion), there are often a lot of times where I just make a gag strip and think nothing of it... only to come back the next day and see people writing up ESSAYS on why it’s the worse thing ever.
Granted, I have the undesirable position of having a lot of people following me who insist on inserting drama where no drama really exists. So part of that is just the fact that I’m semi-famous on the internet. And still... It just baffles me how quickly people feel the need to see the worse in everything.
Right now, the past couple of NSYAC strips featuring Emily and Jade have gotten some... interesting responses. There seems to be this strange perception that Emily MUST conform to some arbitrary standard of a righteous educational achiever simply for the fact that she’s going to colleg

ParodiesSo here’s the thing. Ever since my “stop doing sexist things” joke in SYAC a while back, there have been a number of parody comics about me and my views floating around tumblr and DA. Granted, parody work of my stuff has been there since the very beginning of SYAC, but these are actual comics themselves not just reskins of my own art.
And you know what? That’s perfectly fine. While I will flag work that takes my actual artwork and just changes the text to be derogatory, if you actually make the work yourself... then it’s fine. Everyone is entitled to their opinions. And while I may block people for being assholes to me or my fans, that doesn’t mean I actually want to “censor” their right to speak anywhere else on the internet.
In the past I have tried to use the law to take down certain things. For example, I tried to get KnowYourMeme to remove their user article about me, because it was obviously a carbon-copy of the E
