The one-hour special on October 18 will in fact be "The Legend of Korra" season 2 episode 7 and 8 called "Beginnings, Part 1" and "Beginnings, Part 2."

This one-hour special will feature a flashback to the very first Avatar, Wan, voiced by "The Walking Dead" star Steven Yuen.

Hypable reveals that Wan will show his journey to becoming the very Avatar as he tries to preserve balance between the mortal world and the Spirit World. Given that season 2 is called Book 2: Spirits, we can assume Wan will reveal a lot about the Avatar mythology.

"Steve's vocal quality and acting can range from an innocent, naïve young man, to a trickster anti-hero, and all the way to a full-fledged action hero," says "Korra" co-creator Bryan Konietzko on Yeun.

"And in each take, he made Wan really human and relatable, despite the mythic setting of his tale."

The one-hour special will air starting on October 18 at 8pm EST.

In addition, according to Futon Critic, the following "The Legend of Korra" season 2 episode called "The Guide" will not air until November 1.

This means after the special, "The Legend of Korra" season 2 will go on hiatus for two weeks, and will finish in December.

Well, if there's a two-week hiatus, at least this is the latest episode we'll be left with until then.
