Book 2 airs in April!Yep! The title is as it sounds. Janet Varney (Korra's voice actress) has confirmed a release date for April!
If you want to read it from Varney herself, here is a link! If this is true, it's likely Anime Matsuri con holds the release date!

Korra: The First Halloween Benders ContestSo, we will be doing a Halloween themed contest of the legend of Korra. I think it's appropriate for this time of year to have this themed contest. Don't you think? The contest will end on October, 31 2012. Halloween afternoon. So you guys can have all of your entry's in (fanfiction, Art and cosplay) on time. I will post a Journal saying the contest has ended. Also, the contest will not be extended for your entry. Don't wait until the last moment to enter.
Rules:

Did You Know?There's this blog on Tumblr http://knowyouravatarfacts.tumblr.com/ that posts all kinds of things that you may or may not know about the legend of Korra and avatar the last airbender. It's really interesting becomes I thought I knew everything that there was to know about avatar and Korra. But I didn't. There is a whole lot I did not know.
For example:
Did You Know? John Dimaggio, the voice actor of Bender from Futurama and Jake on Adventure Time, voices the actor of Toph and Iroh in the episode "the ember island players".
And that Dante Basco (the voice Zuko), older brother voiced the actor of Zuko in that episode also?
Did You Know? The pink roses that Bolin was going to give to Korra resemble trust, happiness, and confidence?
Did You Know? As far as we know, none of the previous avatar have had siblings.
But there are things that i was shocked that they got away with on a kids shows. Like sex for one!

I would love for this novelization to contain a few additional scenes that focus on parts of the season we had to (for whatever reason) skim over: another instance of Korra’s airbending training, any other activity with the Task Force, the introduction of a minor but sympathetic ‘hey-I-didn’t-sign-up-for-these-extremist-actions’ Equalist, more Bolin and Asami in general, a slightly more in-depth explanation as to how Noatak figured out that he could use bloodbending to stop up a person’s chakra flow, yada yada yada. Dork.
However, I highly doubt that the author will be given that much liberty to add to the canon. Like most novelizations, it’s probably going to follow the script very closely and be written, as advertized, like a junior novelization. SDCC 2012 Legend Of Korra Fan Panel SummaryIn a room of 4, 500 hardcore fans, the Legend of Korra San Diego Comic Con panel opens with an epic montage of Book 1 moments backed by a stunning score by the Track Team.
The panel introduction is by moderator, Rich Magallanes, who states he is blown away by the entire Avatar universe and its development.
The creators come out - followed by Joaquim dos Santos and the brilliant voice director Andrea Romano. The cast enters: Janet Varney, David Faustino, Seychelle Gabriel and P.J. Byrne. Seychelle rocks a cute steampunk cosplay.

Book One: Air on July 16th, 2013The Legend of Korra made its big debut last year on Nickelodeon and IGN can now reveal details on the Book One DVD and Blu-Ray for the popular follow up series to Avatar: The Last Airbender.
Fans will be able to pick up The Legend of Korra Book One: Air on July 16th, 2013, which collects all twelve episodes of the series so far.
The Legend of Korra will mark the first TV series Nickelodeon has ever released on Blu-ray, and the Blu-ray will contain exclusive special features, including:
Audio Commentaries from series creators, cast and crew for all 12 episodes.
Series creators' Favorite Scenes: Eight Animatics
While there will be select audio commentaries on the DVD, the Blu-ray will be the only release to have commentaries on every single episode. There will also be an additional special feature that is available on both the DVD and Blu-ray:

Old News: Korra Season 1 DVD trailer

A trailer has surfaced online for a previously unannounced Legend of Korra DVD, making it likely that Nickelodeon does in fact have plans to release the series in that format. 16 days ago this trailer was posted on youtube. This trailer does seem like an official Nickelodeon production – note the end title, peppered with copyrights for Nickelodeon and Viacom – so despite of the current lack of official confirmation, it seems reasonable to be cautiously optimistic.

Unfortunately, the trailer does not specify a date or even a season for the release, instead employing that tantalizing assurance that the DVD will be “coming soon.” No mention is made either of special features or commentaries, though extras like these were always included on the official DVDs for Avatar: The Last Airbender.

Still, If nothing else, this trailer does make us nostalgic for the wonderful whirlwind that was season 1, and gives us the opportunity to look forward with fresh eyes as to what may come in season 2. (albeit very tentatively and once again without official confirmation) to begin airing in April 2013. Or maybe not. we will see.

I saw in Amazon that the DVD and Blu-Ray release will be on 2012, so in other words; December!!!!

I wonder if this has a chance at Blu-Ray. I do know Nick is trying to get into that format, since the SpongeBob DVD this trailer came with has a Blu-Ray version... Albeit in Canada. If not, the DVD better at least be widescreen.
