Deviation Actions

Deviantart has adopted the "you can no longer see the stuff of people you have blocked" thing that instagram and Tumblr have been doing for years and we are going to update our ban policy to keep up with the times.

Banned users will be treated as if they don't exist. All their artwork will be removed from the group and all comments if they have made any will be hidden from the public. We strongly believe that bans should be treated firmly so the person who has caused problems gets the message of "if you are going to cause problems, you don't exist to us".

A banned user who admins a group that we are allied with will have that alliance revoked and the group will no longer be affiliated with us.

If you have been banned from this group or blocked from our personal web pages, we are not going to leave you wondering why we took the actions we did, we are honest to a fault and we will always send you an informative letter that you have been banned from the group for the following reasons. We feel that it is not good admin behavior to ever leave any user on this site in the dark when negative actions have been taken because not explaining why you have taken those said actions can make tension between the admins and member in question worse than better. That is why we are always informative and honest.

If you have been banned for the first time from this group and you feel that this is the wrong action taken and you can do better, you can write a letter of appeal and have a friend of yours mail it to us to look at. If we decide we can trust you, you will have your membership granted back and your artwork will be returned to the group. If you break the rules twice however, we will ban you for good and no appeal is going to get you out of it. We expect banned users to respect a permanent ban.

Banned users who try to have a friend submit an appeal on the second banned will end up getting their friend banned from the group and blocked from our personal pages. Once you have been banned from the group, you can no longer interact with us because like I stated before, you don't exist. Once you have been blocked from our personal pages, you won't be able to see us and we won't be able to see you, and guess what, we don't want to.

Lucky I've never had to ban anyone in the past year but we are updating our policy because we feel that this is the right thing to do for the benefit of our group members and administrators. We hope you can understand why we are tightening our policy and we want you all to understand that none of you are in the position to be banned, we don't want you to get into that position.

We recommend that all members read through our rules posted on our front page so they understand what gets you banned from Legend-of-Korra. I'm sorry for posting something on the negative side and I promise our next post will get right back into the fun.

I wasn't aware DeviantArt had added this feature... how do you enable it?
