At a Nick Animation press event, some news more news was released about various nickelodeon animated shows including The Legend of Korra.
Unfortunately, nothing much was released save for that the date was coming later this year, and an exclusive clip (I'm hoping somebody will upload it somewhere, if anybody finds it please link in the comments!)
While this isn't much news, keep in mind that the last time we got a year date it wasn't actually so far away from the actual date. Even so, "later this year" could even still refer to as late as next fall, or even winter. Still, it's nice to know it's coming this year!

"Exclusive clip?" Yeah, you read that right!
I've been looking for that clip for a wile now, and nothing :/. All i found was a description of said exclusive clip...
The sequence we saw found Korra battling one of these spirits, initially just seen as dark tentacles, surrounded by a purple energy, coming out of the ground on a hillside. Korra asks, “Spirit, why are you so angry? What have we done to offend you?”, only for the tentacles to violently knock her aside, as they do to anyone else who attempts to help her, including Tenzin and an adult, male Water Tribe member I didn't recognize at a glance.
Then, the full octopus-like creature rises out of the ground, and begins moving down the hill, utlimately crashing through a fence into a carnival being held, as Korra pursues it. On the offense, Korra shoots the creature with fireballs and begins to get the upper hand, but she is suddenly grabbed by one of its tentacles, and smashed down into the ground. And... we cut to black, for now.
According to the site i got this information from, Nickelodeon won't be showing this clip to the public, because there is still a lot of work to be completed on the animation side for Korra: Book 2
Sounds interesting, would it be another misunderstanding like what Aang faced with Hei Bai back in Avatar: The Last Airbender or would the problem now be entirely different?
IGN also mentioned that even though an air-date for Book 2 isn't out yet, Nickelodeon has said "it would be back later this year". Fingers crossed that there would be some news at SDCC in July.
Changing the subject a little bit, wile i was browsing for book 2 information, i found some interesting images i'm going to show you:

The poster said he/she found the image in tumblr. They look cool, almost real, but the fact that the tittle of the season is The spirit World instead of Spirits convinced me they are fake.
And finally, the last update or now the official cover for Legend of Korra: Art of the Animated Series

"I’m excited to share with you the final cover art (Korra drawn by Joaquim Dos Santos and painted by me, with a background painting by Fred Stewart) for the upcoming Korra Book One: Air art book, published by our good friends at Dark Horse Books. This was a real labor of love (heavy on the labor) for Mike, Joaquim, and me and all those who helped as we put this book together, and we are so proud of all the great artists’ work inside and can’t wait to share it with all of you. The plan is to do one of these art books per “book” of Korra (so four total), which is daunting yet fantastic.
Direct market on sale date: July 24, 2013.
Book market on sale date: August 6, 2013.
9” x 12” hardcover, 144 pages"

This is everything i have to say for now, enjoy and let's wait patiently for our dear Book 2

Korra on Netflix?
Hello all,
In The News:
As you may have already heard, Avatar is coming to netflix for the first time in a while. People are exited to binge the series but what about Korra? Currently, Korra is not set for a netflix debut and fans are wondering if that will ever change. One of our co founders touted the idea of a more adult oriented Avatar series on a platform like netflix. A cool idea and something that would be very much welcome but right now, a live action reboot is currently being developed. Covid19 has put a pause on that but fans will be eager to watch it once production picks up again. So why hasn't Korra been set to debut on netflix
Change and Korra
Change is Coming
That's our group motto. Change is the most important theme in the avatar franchise and it is the very foundation of the Legend of Korra. Right now, in real life, we are going through our own harmonic convergence in a sense. So what's all this about change?
The avatar franchise reflects the hardcore truth about change, it usually occurs gradually. Sometimes, there are events that can thrust it upon us all at once, and it is overwhelming. Take the harmonic convergence for instance. All of the sudden, normality as Korra knew it is thrown into the wayside as the portals are opened, and Korra's avatar spirit is forever damaged b

Hopefully it will be broadcast sometime before Xmas this year And if the scene that was described if it is true sounds extremely interesting! They will have to give us a trailer in July I'll be disappointed otherwise. Regarding the title cards for each episode they probably are fake the names for the episode are quite corny. Love is a rose? Sounds sweet but doesn't seem like a creative episode name.. :/
